AYURVEDIC VIEW ON ARTHRITIS
Arthritis is one of the most common ailments for which Ayurvedic help is being sought these days. Disease process of arthritis according to Ayurveda are that arthritic pain is caused by the aggravation of vata (air) dosha. Arthritis is a condition which is caused by accumulation of ama and aggravation of vata (Ama is a toxic by-product of improper digestion). This ama circulates in the whole body and deposits or gets collected at the sites which are weaker. When it deposits in the joints and at the same time there is aggravation of vata, it result s in a disease called amavata. This amavata is arthritis.

Turmeric for Arthritis
Turmeric: The active ingredient in this spice, curcumin, interferes with three important inflammation-producing enzymes—so it disrupts the inflammatory process at three different stages, said Dr. Lonsdorf. Turmeric also may provide some protection against the damage that pain-relieving medications can do to the gastrointestinal tract. Turmeric is yellow color spice which has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb. Recently, science has started to back up what the Indians have known for a long time… it really does contain compounds with medicinal properties.
These compounds are called curcuminoids, the most important of which is curcumin. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. However, the curcumin content of turmeric is not that high… it’s around 3%, by weight. Most of the studies on this herb are using turmeric extracts that contain mostly curcumin itself, with dosages usually exceeding 1 gram per day. It would be very difficult to reach these levels just using the turmeric spice in your foods. Therefore, if you want to experience the full effects, then you need to take an extract that contains significant amounts of curcumin or taking the turmeric tablets. Unfortunately, curcumin is poorly absorbed into the bloodstream. It helps to consume black pepper with it, which contains pipeline… a natural substance that enhances the absorption of curcumin by 2000% .I personally prefer to swallow a few whole peppercorns along with my curcumin supplement, in order to enhance absorption.
Patricia Blache Testimonial
When I met Bita, I was suffering from chronic lymphedema (water retention on both legs), serious digestive problems, chronic pain, severe fatigue and significant eczema on both palms.
I followed Bita's recommendations to improve my diet as well as how I ate. After eight weeks, there was already a great improvement in digestion, hands, pain and fatigue.
Subsequently I did a detox treatment of the whole body with Ayurvedic massages, herbs and diet.
All this had an extraordinary impact on my health. It is the first time that I feel as well physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Contrary to my expectations my legs have decreased, my legs were less heavy, less pain to these. I can now walk freely and for longer than half an hour, which was the maximum time I could do.
My eczema has improved a lot, one hand is healed and the other hand has little and it will go to the next detox.
I highly recommend Bita for her expertise, passion, dedication, humanism and great generosity.Thank you very much Bita!
